Well I suppose a change is as good as a rest.
Mrs Slocombe's Pussycat is simply a fun collection of bits and pieces on, what is probably the best sitcom in the world, Are You Being Served?. Originally, I was going to miss the 'cat' part out of the title. But then I thought that any sort of innuendo, double entente or just plain coarseness would never do, especially for Are You Being Served? fans. And also, it might attract the wrong sort of Internet traffic and I'm sure Mr Rumbold would never agree to that.

Last night on BBC2 Wendy Richard presented an affectionate tribute to her Grace Bothers colleague. The show included archive footage and old photos of John, like the one shown above. I was hoping someone would put a copy of it on
YouTube in case any of you missed it or can't get it in your neck of the
woods. Anyway Warwick and me will have a go but don't hold your breath. In
the meantime there is a tribute and some clips of John on
Yours faithfully Mr. Harman Packing And Maintenance

Family and friends of John Inman have attended the actor's funeral in London. Wendy Richard, his co-star in Are You Being Served?, was joined by actress Barbara Windsor, entertainer Danny La Rue and Inman's partner Ron Lynch. "It's a sad day but we'll give him a good send-off," Windsor said before the service at Golders Green crematorium. "He's going to be greatly missed," said Wendy Richard, who played Miss Brahms in the show. Frank Thornton, who starred in Are You Being Served? as Captain Peacock, was also among the mourners.
